Sorry! The deadline for this year’s applicants has passed! Watch for the next opportunity to apply for a scholarship in the Spring of 2022.

The Oakville Youth Memorial Scholarship Foundation is now offering scholarships to the high school class of 2021 and current college students for the 2021-2022 academic year.

If you are interested in applying for the scholarship, send an email to the church at email@oakvillechurch.org and an application and instructions will be emailed to you. The application deadline is April 30, 2021. You will want to get started soon!

In addition to the paperwork you fill out, you will need to obtain three reference letters, which will take some time to get the forms to those individuals and have them complete them and get them back to you.

Students applying for the scholarship may be contacted for a personal interview after the deadline date.

All applicants will be notified of the decision of the Scholarship Committee by the first week of June 2021.

If a student selected to receive this scholarship is unable to attend school during the 2021-2022 year, alternate school terms may be considered.

Qualifications

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Live within the Oakville Parks and Recreation District Boundaries (see description of boundaries in the application form) -OR- be an active participant in the services and activities of the Oakville Presbyterian Church.
  • Be a high school graduate by June 2021 or be a current college/university student that is 25 years of age or less.
  • Send the completed application packet to the Scholarship Committee via Oakville Presbyterian Church. The application must be postmarked by April 30, 2021, and only completed applications will be considered.

Scholarships are based on achievement, potential financial need, and/or a combination of these.
