Day of Blessing in Philomath
We will be collecting hygiene products to donate during Philomath’s Day of Blessing. The list of items we are collecting is below. Please place your donations in the box in the Fellowship Hall or drop them off at Friends of the Family 505 NW Harrison Blvd Corvallis during office hours (Mon 10-3; Tue-Fri 9:30-noon & 1:30-5:00).
If you would like to help Friends of the Family hand out the items, that would be appreciated. The event is on Saturday, August 28 from 10 AM to 1 PM on.

HEALTH FOR LIFE CLASSES
Disease can be the result of emotional and spiritual distress. When we experience long-term fear, stress, anger, unforgiveness, etc., we often call these ‘emotions.’ But the Bible calls them sins. Since God created us as whole human beings, there is a body-mind-spirit connection: what we feel emotionally often becomes how we feel physically. Many people suffer physically because they are in spiritual disharmony with God, self and others. Not all disease is caused by dis-ease of soul and spirit, but a good percentage is. We need to recognize this truth so we can deal with the emotions (sins) that damage us – and in some cases, destroy us.
John and Ruth Meyer teach a 10 week study of the Bible and the body-mind-spirit connection. These classes will begin Tue. Sept. 14, 7:00 pm at The Seventh Day Adventist Church, 690 S 10th St., Lebanon. The cost is $25 for the notebook.
